It started with a vision... The vision of becoming the first most successful Macedonian dance company within Australia. The vision of sharing our passion and gift to the world in showcasing the true meaning of Macedonian tradition. In early 2020, the vision was created with collaborative like-minded individuals who all share the same values and desires; the love for dance, and from this Čekor Macedonian Dance Company LTD was formed.
Building a professional dancing organisation who hosts and participates in events that bring unity, multiculturalism inclusiveness and diversity to the wider Australian community and internationally, is an aim that Čekor thrives to achieve. Not only is Čekor the first Macedonian dance company within Australia, but it is the first Macedonian dance company worldwide, a monumental goal so far reached.
Being a non-for-profit company means that Čekor welcomes your support in making the full Macedonian dancing experience a reality.
